At the time of the Irish Trade Mission to Japan at the beginning of 2009, this leaflet was commissioned, by Enterprise Ireland, to reflect the ingenuity and dynamism of the Irish people.

By promoting the contribution that many Irish men and women have had to modern industrial innovation it was hoped that attendees at the many business gatherings and luncheons would engage in conversations about Ireland’s significance both past and present to industrial and economic development and progress, especially in the current economic downturn.
